I absolutely love reading and engaging with others’ thoughts after I watch or consume any really good (or really bad) media. As you’ll find from my posts, I focus on reviewing shows, films, and books involved in the horror and thriller genres. There’s something so powerful about horror as a large umbrella genre — you can easily consider it the most divided genre across folks; some will refuse to watch any media labeled as horror (or thriller) and flip on some Adam Sandler flick (fair) — others like myself, maybe you, cannot get enough of it.
Horror media grants us the opportunity to feel all of those yucky, bad human emotions within a safe space — we can watch characters on a screen do inhumane things to others, and themselves, recoil in our chairs and yet continue looking for more.
I also endevour to share where I watch each of the shows and movies I review here for the sake of accessibility. Of course, what may be ‘free’ to me may not be to you, considering our varying subscription plans. I’ve tried the free-movie-and-tv-websites, and ahve suffered countless pop ups and viruses — no thanks! Good luck with that, if that floats you. However, if I can safely assume you’d be okay to rent a ~$3 movie from Amazon Prime, I think we’ll be okay moving forward.
